Best Overall Women’s Bibs
Volcom Elm Stretch Gore-Tex Bib
Specs:
- Waterproofing: 28K
- Breathability: 20K
- Material: Gore-Tex
- Insulated: No
- Fit: Slim
- Drop Seat: Yes
- Seam Sealing: Fully-Tapered
I’ve been a big Volcom fan since I was a little kid thanks to my older brother and sister’s influence. Aside from their generally stylish look, Volcom really makes some durable, and weather-proof gear. These made our number-one spot because of their overall functionality, and top-tier performance in harsh weather conditions. I’ve found that their clothes do tend to run on the smaller side, so sizing up isn’t a bad idea when purchasing these.
The Volcom Elm Bibs feature Gore-Tex material, the best of the best so you can stay dry in wet and snowy weather. With fully tapered seams, these bibs won’t let any moisture in, which is imperative for those deep pow days. Adjustable straps, articulated knees, inner-thigh ventilation, and boot gaiters will keep you comfortable in any condition you might find yourself in. In any bib, we argue a drop seat is essential to make those bathroom breaks as easy as possible. From my own experience, having to de-shed layer after layer feels like a lifetime longer when you really gotta go.
If that isn’t enough, just know that Volcom is a renowned brand that’s been around for skaters and snowboarders alike since 1991. The brand also outfits and sponsors several snowboard professionals. If they don’t know style and comfort, who does?
Best Women’s Bibs On a Budget
Columbia Sportswear Iceventure Insulated Ski Bib
The best bang for your buck has to be these. The Iceventure Insulated Ski Bib from Columbia comes with plenty of technology guaranteed to help keep you warm and dry on the slopes. While these don’t come with a drop seat, they do come with adjustable straps, boot gaiters, waist adjusters, pockets, and bottom cuff zippers. Along with this, Columbia’s signature Omni-tech, and Omni-heat technologies help you retain body heat and repel snow, water, and stains.
If you’re just getting into snowboarding, or new to wearing bibs, and don’t want to spend a fortune, these are the best bibs cost-friendly option. If you’re still searching for the perfect base layer, Columbia also makes Omni-heat base layers.
Best Bibs for Petite Girls

- Insulated: No
- Fit: Regular
- Drop Seat: Yes

Burton’s Avalon Stretch Bib made it to our top spot for petite girlies for a lot of reasons. However, it’s important to note that Burton, along with DC is one of the few brands to carry sizes down to a 00. These do tend to run on the tall side, so if you’re below 5’4 consider grabbing the short version. Most who buy also suggest sizing up if you prefer more bulky mid-layers. Since these don’t have insulation, you might want to double up on your bottom half if you tend to run cold.
This bib is jam-packed with features to ensure its durability and functionality. Equipped with a drop seat, Burton’s living lining system to keep you warm, boot gaiters, adjustable straps, dope colorways, a chest pocket, and inner thigh vents the Avalon will not let you down.
Best Plus Size Women’s Bibs
Trew Gear Chariot Primo Plus Bib

Not only does this bad girl come in a 1-4X, but she also comes in short, regular, and tall sizes. With a relaxed fit, this bib will allow room for plenty of layers and the freedom to move without restriction. This freedom to move is also doubled with silicone padded adjustable straps, so you can place them where you need them, and they’ll stay no matter what crazy run you take next.
Plenty of pockets, boot gaiters, and cuffs, full-tapered seams, don’t even begin to touch the surface of all this women’s snowboard bib has to offer. Made with stretchy fabric, and a 3 layer construction type, there’s really nothing left to say except, don’t these look super rad?
Best Insulated Women’s Bibs
686 is a staple in my snowboard wardrobe – mostly their technical hoodies. However, the brand is durable, innovative, and stylish in any regard.
Some key features of the 686 Black Magic bib are the infiDry fabric, infiLOFT insulation, critically tapered seams, adjustable straps, inner-thigh vents, lots of pockets, and of course, boot gaiters. These bibs will keep you warm on those super-cold days while staying stylish and functional. I love how comfortable these are, just like everything else I’ve got from 686.
Best Sustainable Women’s Bibs
Specs:
- Waterproofing: H2No testing process
- Breathability: H2No
- Material: Recycled Polyester
- Insulated: No
- Fit: Regular
- Drop Seat: No
- Seam Sealing: Fully-Tapered
Patagonia is well known for its durable, functional, and eco-conscious outdoor apparel. This bib is for riders who care just as much about the Earth as they do top-tier performance. Much like the rest of the top bibs, these come equipped with boot gaiters, adjustable straps, lots of pockets, and articulated knees. Let’s talk H2No for a second. Many brands promise waterproofing but somehow miss the mark on the waterproofing’s durability and breathability. Not Patagonia. With their H2No testing process, every piece of apparel is guaranteed quality.
The Powder Town bibs are PFC-free and made with 100% post-consumer recycled polyester making them a win-win for both the planet and yourself. Different than the other bibs here are the outer thigh vents. In my opinion, these make much more sense as they can let in more cold air than inner thigh vents.
